Description
We are a group ophthalmology-optometry practice with offices in Frankfort and Lexington, Kentucky looking for an additional Ophthalmologist to join our team. Immediate patient volume available in a well-supported practice with our own ASC and office-based surgery, internal optometric referral base, and experienced clinical staff. The practice is one of the leading practices in the area with a high volume of cataract surgery, glaucoma, cornea and medical retina performing most of it's surgeries in the practice's own established ASC. Our offices are well equipped with several exam lanes, Humphrey visual fields, Cirrus OCT, Topcon and Heidelberg Spectralis Fundus cameras, a/b-scan, IOL master, Lenstar, orbscan, pachymeter, Yag and Argon lasers along with a complete Optical shop. The practice boasts a complete EHR integrated practice, certified and well trained techs and licensed opticians. Successful candidate is a board eligible/board certified Ophthalmologist who will embrace the vision of this high-performing practice and demonstrate a commitment to its long-term growth.
Position offers competitive guaranteed base salary, physician-friendly productivity compensation, relocation support, and full benefits. Physicians practice with high clinical autonomy and flexible scheduling within a well-supported private practice environment. Cornea fellowship and/or ability to perform intravitreal injections a plus.
For IMGs: Under new Kentucky state law effective July 9,2026, we are also fully equipped to serve as an employing sponsor for internationally trained ophthalmologists for licensure. Because we own our surgery center, we can grant immediate, proctored major incisional surgical privileges to fulfill your future ABO board eligibility timeline.
