Overview

This seasonal, part-time Guest Service Attendant position supports outside golf operations at Kenton County Golf Course by creating positive experiences for guests and members. The role is an all-around golf operations position with day-to-day duties that vary based on business levels and operational needs, requiring the ability to work in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Experience Required

• Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work in a fun and fast-paced environment
• Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks, or hears
• Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches
• Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
• Regularly works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather)
• Occasionally works in areas with moving mechanical parts and may come into contact with fumes, airborne particles, or toxic or caustic chemicals
• Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean golf carts for play following course standards
• Perform range maintenance, including setting up and maintaining range and chipping green presentation, maintaining range ball inventory, picking up range balls, and cleaning them
• Maintain the cart staging area, podium, and bag drop area in a neat and orderly fashion
• Provide sincere and courteous service to guests, including bag handling and club cleaning
• Maintain the cart storage area and cart washdown area in a neat, clean, and orderly condition
• Assist with directing the start of play and educating players on course policy, cart policy, and pace of play
• Clean golfers' clubs upon completion of play
• Complete daily project list
• Assist in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings
• Service customers renting golf clubs, clean rental clubs upon return, and maintain accurate rental records
• Assist with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area, and parking lot
• Assist with food and beverage activities
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as required
