CME Program Manager with Development Experience
AffinityCE is an accredited medical education company which has been in business for 32 years. We provide continuing medical education for more than 30 health professions and develop, implement, and support custom Web-based systems for the continuing medical education market. Uniquely in this area, AffinityCE brings not only technical expertise but deep understanding and long-term experience in accredited continuing medical education to its products. We developed a CME Program Management System that provides end-to-end program management to our clients and other CME providers. As part of our services expansion plans, we are seeking additional staff to complement our current I.T. and CME support areas.
Primary responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for our clients and end users
Train and support client staff for using AffinityCE’s learning management platforms
Provide technical support to AffinityCE staff both for using our platforms and to fulfill ad hoc requests (e.g., running reports, reviewing draft documents and other communications)
Interface with clients to ensure that new features and functionality requests are properly integrated into existing project timelines
Interface with business development and CE staff during new and existing project development to ensure I.T. resource needs are identified; and that existing priorities and projects are factored into new requests
Provide backup code development and support for existing development projects
Work with VP of I.T. to design, implement, test, and launch new development projects
Provide backup system administration support
Requirements
Required skills and experience
Strong communication skills working with people with varying technical ability and experience
Competency in working with macOS and Windows operating systems
Competency with Microsoft Office applications for macOS and Windows
Two years or equivalent original Web site development using PHP 8.x and MySQL 8.x with the Apache 2.x Web server
Familiarity with basic system administration tasks in a macOS CLI environment, including shell scripting, file system management, and Apache site configuration
Preferred skills and experience
Competency in coding JavaScript, both “pure” development and through third-party libraries
Familiarity with modern CSS and HTML coding practices
Familiarity with the git source version control system
Familiarity with the Homebrew software management system on macOS
Familiarity with server-side Web technologies, such as integration of SSL certificates and implementation of Content Security Policies
