Our community is nestled in NW Ohio surrounded by beautiful parks and lakes. We have two very large lakes within 45 minutes, two world known amusement parks within 2 hours (Kings Island and Cedar Point). We have indoor soccer and tennis, state of the art YMCA, wonderful sports programs at our schools and a great concentration on music. Children are well rounded in our community with many graduating and continuing their education.
The weather in the winter is beautiful with the white glistening snow on the ground and trees allowing for many fun outdoor activities such as sledding, snowboarding, ice skating and skiing. The summers are perfect allowing us to have warm weather starting in the spring around April through fall. Spring, summer and fall activities fun from March through November.

Lima Memorial Hospital is a 300 bed general acute hospital providing a full spectrum of medical services for a ten county region, approximately 500,000 people. We just completed our most recent $30 Million dollar project. We updated our entire surgery unit which will allow the surgeons to have larger rooms and state of the art equipment; changed all of our rooms to private rooms
and by utilizing our newest office building and the second floor of our new emergency center we moved all of our cardiac services to one complete floor with state of the art equipment available. We recently expanded our OB unit and the pediatric unit is currently being expanded. Our 260 + medical community are very well respected.
Lima is located in northwest central Ohio, on Interstate 75, 10 miles south of the junction of U.S. Route 30. Lima is the largest inland city in northwest central Ohio, within 250 miles of the 10 largest cities in the central states. Lima sits midway between Detroit, Cincinnati, Toledo, Dayton, Indianapolis, Columbus and Ft. Wayne. Lima has been the second largest retail market in Ohio for the past seven years.
Allen County is host to two Art Network programs. ArtSpace/Lima offers enrichment classes, workshops and special events along with ever changing gallery exhibitions featuring local and regional artists working in all media types. The Council for the Arts of Greater Lima offers children's theater, dance, artists-in-residence, and award-winning arts in education program. Lima also supports its own fulltime symphony orchestra.
Lima boasts an excellent public school and Allen County is served by six school districts. Parochial schools include four Roman Catholic elementary schools and two high schools operate in Allen County as well. Higher education is available through the Apollo Career Center, Bluffton College, Lima Technical College, Ohio Northern University, The Ohio State University at Lima and the University of Northwestern Ohio. There is also a Tiffin University Lima Degree Center and a Mt. Vernon Nazarene College EXCELL program available.
