Qualifications
The Operations Associate will be:
- Curious—they will enjoy learning, and they will seek to understand the challenges that our clients face.
- Organized—they will build on existing internal systems while also building the additional layers they need to perform their best. At Amethyst, we use Asana for task creation and project tracking, Slack to communicate, and a variety of other tools to meet our needs. We expect the Support Associate to use these systems, while also recognizing they may also love a good sticky note or bullet journal.
- Thoughtful—they have a history of displaying good judgment and know when to tackle a project on their own and when to involve more senior members of the team.
- Detail-oriented—Amethyst’s work lives in the details, from ensuring accurate payrolls to building clear and comprehensive policies. The Operations Associate must demonstrate the ability to produce accurate work and suss out errors where they exist.
- Flexible—Amethyst is sometimes called to reallocate resources to address client needs. The Operations Associate must be able to pivot, as needed, throughout the week.
- An entrant into the field of operations—we’re seeking someone with 1 - 3 years of experience (internships count!) in an office environment, and we will train you in this role.
- Tech-savvy—You don’t need to know all of the systems we use—Quickbase, Harvest, Slack, Asana, Google Workspace, Loom, etc.—but you must have the ability to quickly learn new technologies without direct instruction. This includes knowing when to use which system and when to ask for help.
