Seeking Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join and established practice in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Med Center Health cardiothoracic surgeons are highly-trained and experienced specialists. They treat patients for diseases of the heart, lungs, trachea, chest wall, mediastinum (area between the lungs), esophagus and diaphragm (large muscle below the lungs that helps you breathe).

Cardiac Surgery procedures include:
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)

Thoracic (Chest) Surgery procedures include:
- Lung removals, including segmentectomy, wedge resections, lobectomies, or pneumonectomy (full lung)
- Talc Pleurodesis / Mechanical Pleurodesis
- Thymectomies
- Bleb Resection
- Chest Wall Procedures/Resections
- Neurogenic Chest Tumor Resection
- Removal of Substernal Goiter
- Mediastinoscopy – All Mediastinal Masses – Biopsies and Removals
- Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy
- Decortication
- Rib Plating
- PleurX Catheter Placement
- Esophageal Cases, such as Zenker’s Diverticulectomy
- Large Hiatal Hernias, such as Nissen Fundoplication
- Paraesophageal Hernia
- Achalasia of Esophagus (example: Heller Myotomy)

Our hospital, in partnership with The University of Kentucky (UK) College of Medicine, currently offers multiple Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited training programs designed to produce skilled physicians focused on delivering patient- centered, evidence-based, cost-effective care. Currently, The Medical Center at Bowling Green serves as the primary clinical teaching site for 70+ graduate medical education trainees enrolled across seven ACGME-accredited training.
