Position Overview:

As a Digital Content Strategist at Galen College of Nursing, you will architect andoptimize the College’s digital content ecosystem to strengthen brand visibility,enhance organic discoverability, and support prospective student engagement acrossall digital touchpoints.

This role blends strategic insight, audience intelligence,SEO/AEO expertise, and cross-channel content planning to position Galen as a nationalleader in nursing education and thought leadership.You will guide the development of high-impact digital content experiences, ensuringthey are aligned with brand goals, optimized for search and emerging AI-drivendiscovery channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and continuous refinement of Galen’s digital content strategy to elevate brand authority, organic discoverability, and LLM/AE visibility.
• Use SEO, AEO, analytics, and audience insights to inform content priorities channel selection, and narrative direction.
• Build structured content frameworks-journey maps, content funnels,taxonomies, and metadata strategies-to enhance alignment across channels.
• Develop and maintain an institution-wide editorial calendar rooted in search-driven and audience-driven insights.
• Collaborate with internal and external creative partners to produce high-qualitycontent across formats (articles, blogs, emails, landing pages, videos,infographics, whitepapers).
• Guide content teams in shaping unified, omni-channel narratives that reflectGalen’s brand voice and educational leadership.
• Partner with the Webmaster and the enrollment marketing team to create andoptimize web content, program pages, and user pathways.
• Partner with and provide strategic direction to two Social Media Specialists,ensuring social content aligns with SEO/AEO strategy, brand messaging, andlarger campaign initiatives.
• Ensure strong alignment between digital content and social media programmingto maximize engagement, reach, and user behavior data.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on performance across all digital platforms-including website, organic search, and organic social-to translate insights intoactionable optimization strategies.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate A/B tests, conversion experiments, and engagementtests to drive measurable improvements.
• Leverage analytics to evaluate end-to-end user experience and recommendstrategic enhancements.
• Edit, proofread, and elevate content to ensure consistency, clarity, andalignment with brand guidelines.
• Establish and maintain content governance standards, documentation, and bestpractices.
• Integrate audience feedback, user behavior insights, and stakeholder input tocontinuously evolve content strategy.
• Identify opportunities for new content formats, thought leadership, and digitalstorytelling.
• Surface insights and recommendations that help differentiate Galen in acompetitive higher-education landscape.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in digital content strategy, content marketing, or aclosely related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in SEO/AEO, web performance analytics, and multi-channel content optimization.
• Proven experience guiding the creation and development of strategic, cross-channel digital content.
• Strong understanding of CMS platforms (WordPress preferred), web publishing,and digital content workflows.
• Editorial mindset with the ability to anticipate audience needs and forecastcontent opportunities.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data to shape content direction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of organization, detail orientation, and project managementproficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a relateddiscipline.
• Hands-on experience with web traffic metrics, UX principles, and contentperformance analytics tools.
• A collaborative, proactive, team-first mindset.
