Your Practice

Join an established Laborist team at Baptist Health Lexington and provide dedicated inpatient obstetric care in a collaborative hospital environment.

This is an OB-only, inpatient and procedural practice, allowing you to focus your time and expertise on the patients and procedures that matter most.

Your practice will include:

• Labor & Delivery coverage
• OB triage
• Inpatient and procedural obstetric care
• 24/7 on-site physician coverage
• 12-hour day/night shifts or 24 hour shifts, or a combination of both
• Collaboration with an experienced OB Hospitalist team and support staff

No GYN. No clinic. No ambulatory responsibilities.

The schedule is designed around shift-based coverage, providing meaningful time away from the hospital between shifts.

A 1.0 FTE physician position includes 1,800 clinical hours annually, providing flexibility in how those hours are scheduled. This is equivalent to approximately 150 twelve-hour shifts or 75 twenty-four-hour shifts per year, with the option to combine 12- and 24-hour shifts based on physician preference and scheduling needs.

Who We're Looking For

Baptist Health Lexington is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN physician who is interested in a dedicated Laborist practice.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be comfortable practicing inpatient obstetrics
• Have experience with procedural OB
• Be flexible to provide both day and night coverage
• Be available for weekend coverage as part of the shift schedule
• Value teamwork and collaborative patient care
• Have a strong commitment to quality obstetric care

Experienced OB physicians are preferred, and physicians with 5–10 years of experience are especially encouraged to explore the opportunity.
